Our History
In the spring of 2002, Automotive Solutions was born in Chapel Hill, NC. Owner/operator, Tioga Honigmann was the sole employee for 20 years as his attention to detail and desire to be in direct contact with the customer was paramount to his business model. In 2020, Automotive Solutions moved to its brand new custom built facility in Pittsboro, NC. Tioga has since welcomed his son Mika as a full time mechanic along with Abhi Lipscomb; two mechanics who continue to provide the highest level of service.

TIOGA HONIGMANN
Owner
Tioga is a Chapel Hill native who grew up in an entrepreneurial family that fixed their own, well … everything. With a natural curiosity for discoverhing how things work, Tioga started using tools when he was very, very young. By the time he was eighteen, Tioga was repairing European cars professionally. In 2002, Automotive Solutions was born and Tioga has been pleasing customers ever since. Tioga resides in Chatham County with his wife and two children.
MIKA HONIGMANN
Mechanic
Since he could walk, Mika has always had a passion for learning about how things work. Beginning at the age of three, Mika has been using tools to take things apart, fixing them and then putting them back together. By the time he graduated from high school, Mika was a full-time mechanic at Automotive Solutions. When he’s not working on our customers’ cars, Mika can still be found at the shop working on his own cars! It seems like the only times he’s not in the shop is when he is persuing his other passion, cycling.
ABHI LIPSCOMB
Mechanic
Abhi has spent the majority of his life in the triangle, graduating from Cedar Ridge High School in 2021. In his free time, Abhi is likely to be engaged in a variety of activities ranging from snowboarding to disc golf. When he was sixteen, a friend of his got a Porsche 996 and that was it, that car sparked a passion in Abhi.
